Tanguera Tours takes a different approach. Our tours are for people who, instead of sitting on a tour bus learning the history of others, wish to create their own stories. All our tours are based in making you participate or insert yourself in the dance or whichever aspect of Buenos Aires culture that has captivated your interest.
Our beginnings as Tanguera Tours:
We are now accepting reservations (limited to 6 women) for joining us on our twentieth
exclusively-for-women tango tour to Buenos Aires.
After living and dancing in Buenos Aires a year, I recognized the need for a tour company that caters to women only. I have heard many women complain about tango tours or festivals: the classes are geared mainly towards teaching men floor patterns and little on women's technique, the tour operators cram in too many activities which leave the women exhausted at the end of the day, and the milongas are overcrowded with tourists and festival-goers leaving little room for good dancing. All in all, they scarcely get a glimpse of the real Buenos Aires.
In this unique new tour offering, we are sharing our own knowledge and experience so that you can make your precious time in Buenos Aires count. In a small intimate group of women you will enjoy a more spontaneous and efficient dynamic in the tour as well as receive individualized attention from the teachers. We have crafted a schedule of classes (both group and private) boasting the finest of profesores for women´s technique that will transform your tango dancing and following abilities. Most say that in these short 10 days they learned more than all their previous years of studying tango in the United States.

In our time off the dance floor we will:explore the various neighborhoods with their unique charms, fairs, shopping districts, and historical sights; dine in some of BsAs best restaurants; see a phenomonal tango stage show; experience a typical porteño asado; and experience the tranquil isands of the nearby town of Tigre traveling by boat. And, of course, you will experience the most iconic, enjoyable milongas in town. What´s more, we will make sure that you dance and not become another wallflower tourist on the sidelines of the milongas.
Our goal is that you advance in your tango, discover the porteño culture and rituals, and create many tanguera memories.

THE TANGUERA BEHIND TANGUERA TOURS
Laura is an experienced dance professional having spent 10 years dancing and 6 years teaching and performing both ballroom, west coast swing, salsa in addition to tango. She has studied under the instruction of Roberto Herrera, Osvaldo Zotto, Lorena Ermocida, Carlos Gavito, Carlos and Maria Rivarola, Mariano "Chicho" Framboli and Eugenia, Gustavo Naveira, Pupi Castello, Elina Roldan, Sergio Cortazzo, Juan Carlos Copes, amongst others. Nearly 3 years of intensive Buenos Aires milonga dancing with some of the finest social and professional Argentine dancers has finetuned her following and and allowed her to cultivate her own stlye, expression, and confidence in the dance. Now she is dedicating herself to the methods of effective women´s technique in following and contributing to the expression of the dance thru rhythm and adornments. As a result of regular collaboration with the organizers and fellow teachers in Buenos Aires, she is respected and closely connected within the profession. She is a Stanford University engineering graduate and is currently residing in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
